Highly scalable, fault-tolerant platform tailored to meet the ultra-low-latency demands of real-time bidding.

Our client, Bedrock Platform, a fast-growing startup in the AdTech sector, needed to support a real-time bidding (RTB) exchange platform that handles auctions in milliseconds. Bedrock Platform required a robust, scalable, and cost-effective solution to process millions of ad auction events daily while handling 20,000 incoming requests per second. In addition, they needed reliable alerting and monitoring, a high-performing infrastructure, and engineering support that could address everything from core infrastructure to application-level business logic.
We designed and implemented a scalable and highly available infrastructure based on AWS and Kubernetes (EKS). We used Karpenter to dynamically scale nodes within the cluster based on demand, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency. Our team set up and maintained the VictoriaMetrics stack with Grafana, enabling real-time monitoring, alerting, and visibility across the system, including infrastructure, applications, and databases.
To ensure global performance, AWS powers the core infrastructure in the EU, while GCP regions in APAC reduce latency for billions of ad requests originating outside the EU. This hybrid-cloud, multi-region setup ensures sub-100ms response times worldwide. We established a full CICD process with GitHub Actions to enable rapid, reliable development. A cost-effective reporting solution was implemented to aggregate events while preserving data accuracy. Our work included platform design, development process implementation, CICD pipelines, and architectural consulting, along with end-to-end engineering support and full-stack training for Bedrock Platform’s team.
Our collaboration resulted in a highly scalable, fault-tolerant platform tailored to meet the ultra-low-latency demands of real-time bidding. The new infrastructure handles high-throughput auction workloads while maintaining cost efficiency. With the implementation of a robust observability stack, Bedrock Platform has experienced reduced downtime and improved system reliability through rapid alerting and in-depth diagnostics. CICD pipelines have accelerated feature delivery and minimized manual deployment errors, while the overall engineering process has been streamlined through proper testing, automation, and consistent tooling. As a result, Bedrock Platform’s platform is not only performant and reliable but also significantly easier to manage, maintain, and evolve.
