This autumn, Appliscale decided to support DevConf 2019, as a silver sponsor. The conference took place in Krakow on September 26-27th. Our team member Kamil Kubacki was involved in the organising committee, so had the opportunity to influence the shape of the conference and sessions’ topics. This was quite a challenge as the level and range of talks were outstanding.

During 2 days of the conference 430 participants had a chance to attend 40 sessions delivered by 34 speakers from around the world. Topics varied from low-level technical ones, through high-level, touching on the problems of the future of coding to soft-ones, such as communication or psychology. Very inspiring and worth attending! 

As a silver sponsor, Appliscale had its own booth, which was a unique opportunity to chat with programmers from all over the world about recent trends and changes in the industry. Our brand recognition is already rising after the event!

It’s worth mentioning that the organization of the conference was exceptional. Multikino was a great venue for such events. Multiple cinema halls allowed several sessions to run simultaneously. The location of our booth, in the bright main hall was a great spot to exhibit and allowed participants to come by for a quick talk.  

Supporting the DevConf was a very valuable experience for the whole Appliscale team. Looking forward to the next edition!
