XProf solves all your Erlang performance issues

Development

Xprof is an open-source visual profiler for Erlang and Elixir. It is a relatively new addition and aims to sit in between complex enterprise level monitoring software and command line tracing and debugging tools. If you work with highly distributed, current systems with very low latency requirements, then XProf could be interesting.

Peter recently presented at the Erlang User Conference 2017. He goes into more details on XProf usage and gives some signposts on the road to performance optimisation in Erlang.

The full presentation is here.

XProf is supported by Appliscale. Among the team that work on it are Michal Niec, Pawel Pikula, Wojciech Gawronski and of course Peter G
